Bob, one of our former cats, loved to snooze in front of the stove. Domestic bliss. 😊

Very nice, just like the Oslo launch. So lovely to be in the company of good people. 😊

This might sound odd, but when we moved to our new home 14 years ago, we bought a large potbellied kind of wood-burning stove, with wrap-around glass windows. Oslo is extremely dark in the winter, but the dancing flames and warmth from the fire create an atmosphere that makes winter very special.

My writing partner and I created our own publishing company. We have total artistic and financial control. It is the way to go. 😉

It took me about a microsecond to identify this as a John Bauer painting. He had such a distinctive style. I love his work and all the other fantastic artists from the Golden Age of fantasy illustration. 🥰

It’s weird, but almost every time someone posts a photo from the Columbia River Gorge, I know where it’s from before I’ve read the comments. I have a good friend who lives in the area and he took my family and I for hike up to one of the falls years ago. Absolutely gorgeous. I’ll never forget it.

Could be a long scam, I’ve read about some recently.

Thanks! It's pouring rain in Moss, the city where we're holding the launch this evening, so I'm not sure what kind of turnout we'll get. We had a great launch in Oslo last week, so I'm already satisfied with this part of the publishing process.

Wow, looks great! More on your series later. I’ve an out-of-print satirical autobio from my wild, drug-fuelled youth. Current project is a time slip series about past trauma affecting lives in the present, buried in the subconscious. Book 2 just out, launch later today.

lol, so much for guessing one’s demographic. Actually, my writing is a mashup of multiple genres including time slip, romantic, esoteric, and Nordic Noir, so maybe not so surprising it’s skewed towards women. I had to look up psi fi. Very interesting. Where can I find your writing?
November 30, 2025 at 7:21 AM
That’s good to hear. As a writer I’m constantly hearing that young people, especially young men and boys, don’t read books. Approximately seventy percent of my readers are women, despite the fact that I write about Norse/Viking themes that are generally considered of more interest to men than women.
