yeahhh I can understand not forcing people to join the union, but them having all the benefits is dumb. Can't have your cake and eat it too or something.

tbf, this being necessary in the first place is dumb, but that the USA for ya...

Ai'm guessing that in right to work states, actors can keep working on union jobs, since the union can't force them to join?

I'm not American and the working conditions and the general opinion on unions is very different so i'm trying to understand lol

yeah it seems like the union isn't really adapted to the current video games VA situation, what with the international boom and live service games (from what I understand, it's not clear how long-term roles like in live service games are handled?)

OK so international talents can still work on an union job, they just don't get the protection from the union?
And I'm curious to know the options for US talents based on their states laws.
Not trying to do a gotcha btw, just trying to understand why some companies wouldn't want to sign up interim.

What does it mean? I guess if you are in the US, you can't?

What about non-US actors? What do they have to do to be able to continue working on union jobs?

If you stay non-union, can you still work on union jobs, just not benefit from being part of the union?

exactly!

They haven't recast anyone YET, but they will have to eventually if they refuse to sign the interim

We don't want to know if you recasted anyone yet, we want to know if you refused to sign the interim contract.

This is a lot of politician talk, just saying the parts that make you look good.
