It depends, I played a lot of horror puzzle games. I like the room puzzle. But I’m not a fan of going to place A to find an object to unlock place B, unless the dev narrate a part of the story of the game in the mean time

Also itch should need more moderation about what is published. But I can understand that itch is a small company.

Steam tend to have a monopoly over the digital game market. I still prefer Steam cause of the application. The itch app is pretty basic and lack in a lot of UX design. I still use it cause it’s more useful to keep track of what you have played and the game you download. But it needs work.
