Ooh! Is there a special section at my local garden centre with decorations & stuff? 😊

Alternative response .. Everyone simultaneously floods the platform with willy artwork.

I'll give anything pickled onion flavour ago.

Am I seeing this correctly? The pasta shapes in that thumbnail are spelling out "DROP DEAD" to my eye. 👓

My dumbass stepdad used to say smoking was good for him because it made him cough, which helped clear his chest. He's dead now, obvs.

Is that from The Groovie Goolies?

Almost related .. 2000ADcomic writers have been making up fake swear words for years (eg. Drokk). My favourite is "Funt" from the Sinister Dexter comic strip.

#OnThisDay 1986 : Trap Door was first broadcast on ITV.

Berk and co were featured in 40 episodes spread over 2 series.

The Trap Door title Berk and Boni TV Listing
The first in a new animation series set in an old forgotten castle in the dark and nasty region where nobody goes. The trap door gives entrance to a foul-smelling pit beneath the castle. Who knows what creatures live there? And what will happen if they escape..?

F****ng "further ado" .. one of my biggest YT pet hates, especially when it comes half way through what's classified as an introduction.
retrosteveuk.bsky.social
After the 2nd video with the same intro on a channel, I admit I ALWAYS skip forward, particularly the ones that are 10-20 sec long. I like an introduction to the video, but tailored to that specific video. Exceptions would be stuff like Ashens, with a quick-hit intro that's more like a catchphrase.

Anyone thought of yanking off their balaclavas? It's entirely possible they'd fold if their faces were revealed.

I suppose we have no real way of knowing now if that "stick-on" keyboard solution was any good or not. Unless someone remembers having one.

Well it's taken a few years but we have finally made it. It took quite a bit to get it over the line in the end, but Lee Bee has done a phenomenal job on the music

BubbleBack, our sequel to Forward to the Past, now available for free on Itch.

Enjoy!

Good old Astro Wars. Surprisingly complex gameplay for a VFD tabletop.

I think this one definitely wins the "Most Threatening" title. 🫣😱

I'm still a holdout with RF on my Atari VCS and Binatone TV Master (Pong). Still have a CRT portable and a Samsung 4:3 LCD that can tune in to an aerial input. For SCART & composite, those cheap HDMI converters that power from USB are really good, (under a tenner).

Shame about losing that skull piece so quickly. Thanks for sharing the ad. That's one I don't have in the archive (yet) but it's definitely going into next year's collection. I've been collecting this last lot since last year!

Yes. I occasionally struggle to remember simple words when talking to people, (I'm 51.) I'm told it's normal, apparently.
