Come and join us at Crostwight Church at 2pm on Sunday 28th December for a service of Carols and readings to celebrate the Christmas Season. Crostwight church is a unique church in the middle of a field and accessed on foot, with amazingly well preserved wall paintings.

Have had the privilege of watching two Nativity plays today. Both were fantastic and the children and staff were great. Well done East Ruston Infant school and Nursery this morning and The Stables school this afternoon.

This coming Sunday after the Yule Tide Market come and sing Carols in St Mary’s and enjoy the Christmas trees before the tree festival ends.

Town council Beer Festival in St Mary’s Church. Would be rude not to sample a few beers.

Well that was a first at a wedding today, the rings were delivered by a barn owl, who then proceeded to do a poo as the rings were unhooked narrowly missing the bestman’s shoes.

Today was the day, my last service in the Bittern Benefice. A lovely send off…

46 years ago we said goodbye to a wonderful woman and a very special grandmother, so I have raised a toast of “mothers ruin” as she called it, knowing that she would be very proud of what her two grandchildren have become and would have adored her great granddaughters.
