Clever tactic by Markin. It was quite a surprise to me the first time I did a U-turn in one. Big car for such a tight turn. I heard the early models had more reliable wiring with some redundancies built in.

I fell in love with Checkers when I was briefly driving a cab in the 70's. The tight cornering surprised me! You can make a U-turn in an alley in that big car! Ever since, I've wanted to buy one of the old reliable ones, paint it classy black, and wait for everyone to ask me what the hell it is.

You should watch the original 1953 version, too. The cultural references are priceless, and it still holds up very well in terms of plot, and the effects are better than you might expect.
