Our local supermarket has one of these robot cleaners. Every time I see it I have to say: 'hi, David.' It's now the law. #iykyk

I suspect there are lots of jokes around about Chris Rea no longer needing to have to drive home for Christmas, but I do genuinely like the song, especially the production.

The message itself: the Word to the world - Heaven’s rescue plan - came in human form. The Word become flesh and lived among us.

Wondering with the Word: right?
St Paul reminds his hearers in Rome that the Gospel is for the Gentiles as well as the Jews, but there aren’t any limits on its reach or who it invites into the Kingdom of God.

I had the great joy of leading the weekly BBC Radio Wales act of worship, Celebration, this morning. I asked: Are we nearly there yet?
There were Advent hymns, music from Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue), VOCES8 and Jonathan Veira. You can find it for the next month at www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

On the third Sunday in Advent, Revd Gareth Hill asks if we're nearly there yet.

King David’s town became the place
where our Creator lay:
and God became a child for us
as mercy came to stay.

Some words for our Christmaas preparation. Find the hymn at lyricsandlongings.net/song-index/n... and sing it to traditional tunes Kingsfold or Noel.

Holy justice is a recurring theme in Scripture and it demands of us as believers that we discover how to amplify its call. This week's Advent reflection on how Old Testament prophets and Mary all challenge us: open.substack.com/pub/revgaret...
