A Colorado-based colleague (not a flyfishing guy) tried to say this trout doesn't exist.
I said, "Nah. That's real. Almost all the Rocky Mountain East Slope Alberta cutthroat trout will sport a coat like this as the water temps dip below freezing bit doesn't freeze because it's flowing too fast."
