My uncle Pasquale D'Elia was killed in action in May 1944, on the final day of the battle for Cisterna di Latina. He had come to the US from Italy in 1940 and was called up after finishing high school. He died fighting for his adopted country about 300 miles from where he was born. #MemorialDay

This only looks like a caricature. When the Sermon on the Mount is dismissed as #liberal, or #Leftist, or (with a sneer) wokeness, we’re no longer talking about #Christian faith. This isn't just #politics. When anyone strays into territory that I’m called to represent, I won’t be quiet. #Jesus #God

No, Mr. #President, this wasn’t radical or leftist or nasty in tone. This was what calm, clear and #biblical preaching looks and sounds like. Faith in #Christ places us in opposition to any government—we forgot that for a while. Expect more of this over the next four years. #Trump #Budde

Christ as King makes us uncomfortable. Most kings only care about their power. But Christ turns that on its head.
