I prompted Claude to generate an interactive HTML5 environment where the particles avoid the mouse and form figures of children. The particles were later changed by small pictures with text inside.

The particle system was created with the aid of Claude AI (version 3.5 Sonnet), which contrastingly state that children up to age of 17 are not authorized to use (in comparison with ChatGPT and Google Gemini).

Ignoring children deals away with the problem by focusing the responsibility on the parents, pretending that a large part of their userbase - children do not exist. In the Html, the mouse represents the tech companies and the particles the responsibilities towards children as users.

especially if we are talking about a new phenomenon in society like GenAI.

But nothing can be done now, just apply again and wait 6 long months for the results.

Mind you, this is social sciences (STS on AI). In social sciences we are used to discover things on the way and that the methodology is indicative. E.g. the number of interviews is important but things might change on the way. Also the RQ and hypothesis do not need to be very specific at this stage

I often catch myself thinking on concepts through squares, triangles and other dynamic forms which are hard to translate into text. So these exercises of drawing and doodling are also an effort of learning and sharing about #AI and its critiques.

It has been 3 months since I launched my comic series "conversations with a chatbot" and I couldn't be happier with the results so far. As a visual (and neurodivergent) person, I always find it more comfortable to speak through images.

I am passionate about translating or rethinking technical terms through art. Think about a GenAI bot and its thirsty for water, or its craving to make art?
#Cartoons are one of the vectors I choose to mix my love / skills with my research experience in the fields of law, sociology and technology.

time. And so I was focused on acquiring practical skills and couldn't focus on some basic academic structures. My PhD was basically a lot of catching up with literature and methodologies from #Sociology and #STS. Now I am doing the same with Critical #AI .

There is a need for a lot of catching up and making up for my upbringing. Not only I am the first academic in my family, I also come from a context of hardships where we had to make tough financial choices. This marked my take on career to be influenced by a survival mindset rather than investing my

If there was a witch that could do magic like Elphaba she certainly would want to mind her own and people would go after her for her knowledge so they could use it to exploit the others.

Now the other part is to get funding to go there. Anyway, happy to discuss my idea with anyone. I'm in for #STS #sociotechnical #youth #criticalai #responsibleai discussions. Trying to be smooth with the hashtags, right?

Forum, that will take place in Rabat, Morocco. As the title say, I explore the characteristics of #GenAI in generating common sense content because of its #probablistic nature to investigate pervasive representations of #childhood. I will focus on synthetic images generated by these platforms.

Also interested if you spot something! I'll let know if I find as well
