I hear you, but I do like that after the Signalgate fiasco they just accepted the administration will never like them, and are leaning in to it.

Possibly because using AI for concept art is fairly widespread already, and the final product was human-produced.
They still lost their Indie GOTY (rightfully so, imo, genAI is genAI), but I imagine people are less outraged about that than replacing voice actors or generating actual game content
