The nurse did say it looked like they wanted us to eat more protein & veggies. I said but they didn't put a boneless skinless chicken breast in the picture they put a nice juicy steak. She replied that she didn't want to speak out of turn but maybe the beef industry was involved. Gee you think?

Talked to the nurse who said she'll be getting calls about this all day. She recommended that I continue to follow my cardiac diet until they can figure the new pyramid out, and she would talk to the doctor and call me back with his recommendation.

I'm going to call my cardiologist this morning and tell him that I'm looking forward to eating more red meat and full fat dairy. I'm currently restricted to 20 g of saturated fat a day. Looking forward to their response.

One of many surprises when I moved to Boston is that people can't back out of a parking spot. I've watched them take three times just to back out so I just have to assume when you back in there are no parking spots on either side of you.
