I think an overlooked part of Plaything (Black Mirror S7E4) is that the Thronglets speak gibberish. Their language is nothing but random chirps and meows.
It's a parallel to how AIs hallucinate. They spit out nonsense and, like in Plaything, people using it swear they understand the gibberish.
