I think about stuff like this too. A few years ago, my sister's closest friend, who was a part of our family, experienced a tragic death. People who did not know her or my sister that well made a lot of assumptions and centered themselves in that experience. It was so gross.

Especially with my background being raised Mormon- I was introduced to a racist, ahistorical, misogynistic, false notion of what Christianity actually stemmed from. The more I learn about Jesus outside of that church's toxic doctrine, the more I realize I know nothing, and that I was robbed.
