Our shutters are also finally ready and are being fitted next week. No more ducking down to hide from prying eyes anymore.

Bobby’s funeral tomorrow. I’ve stuck with the ‘casual only’ and gone with a black shirt, brown trousers, and sparkly cream trainers. My shirt has a pencil tie and I feel quite cool in it.

I don't quite understand the John Lewis Christmas advert and why it's evoking such strong emotions. Initially, I believed the mum had passed away and that the son was reminding his dad of cherished memories with "their song," but that's not the case.
