I've noticed lately that more trolls are invading Bsky. This same feature that X has so members can check an account's country of origin would be super helpful to weed out the bad guys from causing harm here.

I'm a historian of policing & technology and a policy person at the intersection of tech and civil liberties and I'm not sure the average US person knows how close we are to being policed by armed drones/robots or how many years we've had and failed to create policy frameworks to prevent this.

1. Purge govt of non loyalists
2. Weaponize law against opponents
3. Use military to police opposition strongholds
4. Threaten media, schools, businesses w penalties to get them to heel
5. Change election rules in his favor.
