So his argument is that he has already spent the proceeds of his crimes so he should be allowed to continue breaking the law. That could be an interesting precedent for future criminals.

The rest of the world has accepted that the USA is finished and cannot recover its power or prestige. They are racing to build ties with the real powers of China and Europe.

ICE has been given a massive budget. It is basically Trump's private army and meanwhile Trump is doing everything he can to force experienced leaders of the official armed forces to resign. Make the connection.

Appreciate the sentiment. But I would rather see it turned into a soup kitchen to try and undo some of the harm done to the American people by this mal-administration. It would also drive the magats nuts which is a bonus.

The trouble is, there are so many stories that normally would be big stories by themselves that everything from protecting pedophiles to extra judicial killings only get relegated to page 5 after day 1.

It's problematic but when we look at republics around the world it is doubtful that any are better than what we currently have. How do you appoint a head of state that is not subject to interference from corporations or foreign powers? We certainly have not found a way to do that with politicians
