Nah, I hard disagree-
I think there’s plenty of fascinating conflict and storytelling to be had in the difficult unraveling of those concepts in radically restructured peacetime.

You can still play people clinging to the old guard or distrustful/paranoid of openly embracing the new too quickly.

I might be in the minority here, but I enjoyed Ishgard more when it was a crushing, oppressive Theocracy where one misstep could be interpreted as heresy.

While Aymeric's Ishgard is undoubtedly BETTER for it's people, it's worse for the setting as a whole in my opinion. . .

Yeah, faith-based trauma is for some a very hard closed door for some to try and narratively poke around in a fantasy setting with in nuanced ways, unless it’s kinda combatative/skeptical

Avenrhi is named for mountain avens (Dryas octopetala) a pioneer plant that symbolizes longevity, hope, innocence & resilience.

They are heliotropic and grow close to the ground with fluffy seed heads. One of it's folk names is Thief’s Roots.

If anything she's aware, from personal experience, that the Limsan health care options are not always great, and that support from the authorities about clientele overstepping their bounds is difficult to self-advocate for, beyond having a serious whisper with Sisters of St. Edelweiss.

But she views 'workplace sex' as a leverage tool in her shed, or a recreational way to deal with monotony and seasonal stresses, not as a separate profession.

She doesn't begrudge or belittle sex workers their lot, either, though she hasn't thought to spend gil on their services herself.

She's aware she holds a reputation that keeps the fellas on the farm instead of slipping down to the Limsan docksides for the evening- And that her employers to some extent appreciate her willingness, and sometimes even partake themselves in exchange for giving her access to surplus resources.
