In Christmas Nights' ending sequence, Claire & Elliot are really close to each other. The animation quality doesn't help much, but it is really like they're holding hands. It makes more sense now.

Using the staff will give you more vitality. Leveling wind will also help you gain some multitarget attacks for the common encounters.
