The problem of diagrams like this is the artificial creation of opposites. Reality is more complex.

Guess I’m to the rational/Mollison end.

Looking at this diagram, there is so much that is wrong with it.

First, the polarisation of high yielding and natural/self-maintaining. Why are they positioned as opposites?

And New Guinea swidden? Why not Solomon Island swidden?
