Sounds about right. If someone threatens to use bacon instead of guanciale to make carbonara, I would feel obligated to call Carabinieri.

Boy you would hate Italy. Here people who have chaired anything, be it their own made-up association, are called “president” for a lifetime. And anyone with a BSc gets called “doctor” (to the point that in Rome “doctor” is literally routinely used in place of “mister”).
