I shook out as much as I could and swapped it for a new one. :)

We once had issues with a cable box. Pulled it from the TV stand and found the inside was loaded with litter and cat hair. No wonder it was overheating. The cat loved that cable box.

The hoarder in me is screaming at the thought. Lol
