So yeah, the party adopted the guy, named him Ash, and are taking him with them. I can't wait to mess with them.

The teif explained that he'd made a bet with an arcanoloth that he could spend a year in Zenador directing people where they needed to go, and in exchange he'd get a ring of three wishes.
He doesn't know how long he's been there but he's optimistic that he will remember everything when he gets home

but the party soldiered on, hating the swamp so hard they ended up in another rocky cliffside area and found a gray tiefling trying to put up a signpost. No, I was not playing TotK while prepping session, I don't know what you're talking about.

Micko was very surprised that the chest punched him 15ft into a wall, and decided to lay down while the others got the chest open. They found some magic items and the vestments for the church, which Axiom the wizard priest declared were dedicated to Zzyczesiya the demon lord.

After the rest, at full health, Micko found a chest with no lock, just a flat panel with some runes he didn't bother to read. He just tried to smash it open.

While the party isn't the terrifying powerhouse of their last campaign together, they are still more powerful than a normal level 4 party.
So what they found trying to dig up the graves was a Maurezhi. Wearing the skin of a sea elf. Which summoned a swarm of dretches.

I should point out Axiom has multiclassed into cleric and his goal appears to be finding and reviving dead goddesses of truth. I will have to get clarification so I can mess with him.
His player has, to my knowledge, only refrained from multi-classing into cleric once.

After killing the mephit and the suture flies it spawned (because as a DM I can't have them fight one lone mephit) they ran into some random encounters, my favorite of which was a ghostly apparition of a group of soldiers. Which Sprout tried to stop for directions while wearing a tourist costume...
