Listen. I’m not saying Russia isn’t doing anything. I’m just saying that maga has clear ties to earlier far-right movements that were very much homegrown. Qanon, the militia movement, incels, Birchers, tea party, and many fascist groups. Russia plays a part, but most of this is homegrown American.

Why must it be Russia? America has a long history of fascist movements. This is simply another in a long line of attempts. And Russia is not as powerful as you think.
