I sewed together the corset vest front panels, and now I'm working on top-stitching the seams for both halves. It already looks like a vest, partly because of how distinctive the shape is with just a few pieces connected #HandSewn

Yesterday was a fabric cutting morning, I cut the fabric for a corset vest I'm planning to wear to work. The front will be the yellow floral fabric, with a red back and a brown lining. #HandSewn

I hand-sew and I take commissions, this particular quilted vest is one of my favorite garments I've made, I wear it all the time. I also made an enormous moth from a plushie pattern by @beezeeart.bsky.social that I scaled up.

Business cards arrived! Because my clothes stand out, I’ve gotten asked if I do commissions while I’m just out and about on errands, so now I have cards to hand to people. 🪡🧵

I hemmed and attached the sleeves, then completed part of the bottom hem. After that I’ll need to add grommets and cording, then it’s on to the long quilted vest which goes over this.
