The t-shirt made an appearance on Roy in an episode of The I.T. Crowd but I think it was originally from an online comic strip possibly by John Allison or Jon Rosenberg but I can't remember exactly.

Hope Tuesday happened for you. If you need bins putting out etc give me a buzz. I'm full of cold at the moment so best avoided in a more general sense.

I realised brains can be weird when I was studying in Canada Due to currency conversions occurring in my head some stuff I now considered too expensive to buy even though the stuff was priced and I was being paid in the same Canadian dollars.

It was David Walliams, I'd have preferred Stan as well.

At least you didn't put the air fryer basket in the washing machine. Your brain figured out it was a food thing rather than a clothes thing.

Some people rebooted Caption (Oxford) and it happened quite recently (I couldn't attend) I'm hoping they'll carry on for next year. captionfestival.co.uk

I heard once that some military units used to order soldiers to shoot the opposition dead to get them used to actually shooting people. I surmised that bayoneting people like sacks of sand in drills may have a similar component. I think it may have been in Jon Ronson's "The Men Who Stare at Goats".

Just wondered is Linehan only known in the US for this sort of thing or was he known as a comedy writer beforehand ( he was pretty well known in the UK before his transphobic spouty years).

I'm still struggling with them. I think it's more difficult if you have to buy more than one ticket especially as in my case with different railcards.

I once had Gino de Campo in the back of my head for the answer to a pub quiz question but I was very hesitant on the basis it sounded too much like it was a character name from Carry On or Allo Allo.

I saw them quite a few times back in the day. They quite often played the Paul Chi run nights alongside Sharon Lewis, Johnny Dangerously, Altered Natives and many others. Factory had a few random signings. I have the Kalima album knocking around somewhere.

I gave my daughter a copy of your extreme rambling book. Lots of great insights into the history, people and cultures involved.
