I'm building 24/7 YallBot weather streams for EVERY SINGLE STATE in America! Each one locally focused, live, and running nonstop. Which state should we launch first? Can probably handle 1-2 new states per month while we scale up the backend.

Tropical Storm Jerry has formed. Still looks to stay mostly out to sea!

FLOOD ALERT today and tomorrow (Oct. 6-7).

A Level 2 out of 4 risk for excessive rainfall is in place, with some areas potentially seeing 3-6 inches of rain. While the moisture is much-needed for the drought-stricken region, it may come too fast for the dry ground to absorb.

BREAKING: The EF-5 drought is officially over.

After 12 years, the National Weather Service has upgraded the June 20, 2025 Enderlin, North Dakota tornado to EF-5, the first confirmed since 2013’s Moore, OK event.

Lots of rain expected in the Ohio Valley over the next couple of days. We need this, but some of it could come down too fast, leading to flooding. Keep an eye out.

The internet’s addicted to doom. But if you spend any time outside the timeline, the world’s still full of people doing good, weird, hopeful things.

Our next tropical system is about to form in the main development region

As a digital meteorologist, I feel it’s my duty to inform you all that I have written a scathing, track-by-track review of the new Taylor Swift album. Stormy conditions ahead.

The wave coming off Africa now has a 40% chance of development in the main development region over the next 7 days...

There’s still some gas left in the tropical Atlantic…

Between Hall Enterprises and Y'all Squad, we've built a solid team across weather, tech, media, and disaster relief. Some think my AI interest means we're avoiding hiring, it's the opposite. We have the biggest payroll in weather content. AI just helps our team work better.

TWO hurricanes are spinning in the Atlantic right now. Humberto is a Cat 2 with 100mph winds. Imelda just became a Cat 1 this morning. Bermuda is in the crosshairs.
rhyall.bsky.social
Fall has left the chat. It's going to be 90°F in Minnesota next week.

Here is an update on future Tropical Storm Imelda. While the latest forecast indicates it will likely stay offshore and not make a direct landfall in the United States, significant coastal impacts are still possible.

Google DeepMind’s weather model is already beating “state of the art” ensembles on scraps of compute. If tech giants put even a fraction of what they spend on chatbots into forecasting, we’d be decades ahead.
rhyall.bsky.social
Models have finally locked in on a path, and it’s the best-case one: Imelda stays out to sea. Our coastal awareness model doesn’t even flag the South Carolina coast in the “aware” category anymore. What a fascinating, humbling forecast.

Humberto certainly looks like a CAT 5 to me! Insane presentation on the WeatherWise app!

Rising was a good film. It shines a light on Eastern Kentucky and the strength of the people here. I saw that strength firsthand after the catastrophic flooding in 2022, and the documentary captured it well. Glad I got to be part of the roundtable with the Governor after the screening.

We're actually rooting for Hurricane Humberto to become a Cat 5 monster. It sounds crazy, but it might be the very thing that saves the Southeast U.S. from a direct hit from another storm. A wild forecast! #Humberto #Imelda #HurricaneSeason

TROPICAL STORM WATCHES NOW IN EFFECT along Florida’s east coast from Palm Beach to Flagler/Volusia.

TD9 is expected to strengthen as it moves through the Bahamas this weekend. By Monday, parts of Florida could see tropical storm conditions, spreading north into the Carolinas next week.
rhyall.bsky.social
This is hands down the most complicated tropical forecast I’ve ever seen. Models split between landfall in the Southeast, looping off the coast, or yeeting out to sea. Forecast looks like spaghetti night at grandma’s.
rhyall.bsky.social
It's crazy that exactly 1 year after Helene, we are talking about another multi-day rainfall event for the Carolinas.

Key difference: This is 6-10" over 5-7 DAYS, not hours. Helene dropped 30" in a day.
Still concerning for flooding, but this is NOT a mountain catastrophe scenario.

Invest #94AL forecast is a mess! Models split between US landfall or out to sea.
Hurricane #Humberto's outflow and altered steering flow will either help push 94AL northwest into the Southeast coast, or pull it out to the Atlantic at the last minute. FL to Carolinas: continue watch this closely.

Excited to see the powerful documentary RISING and honored to join Governor Andy Beshear, survivors, and community leaders for the roundtable discussion in Frankfort. Grateful to play a small part in telling Kentucky’s story of resilience. #RISINGKY

New data on Invest 94L (future Imelda) has prompted my coastal awareness model to elevate most of the South Carolina coast to "PREPARE" threat level. A Southeast U.S. impact is becoming increasingly likely, though the exact track and intensity remain uncertain.
