I know a guy I used to commission work from in the 90s when I worked in marketing who became interested in quasi religious stuff about a decade ago, then was very anti vax in covid and I just got told he's now a flat earther.

How does this happen to people?

So latest Tory wheeze is to ban foreigners from accessing benefits. Naturally there's no detail. Refugees already recognized as such by the UK? People on spousal visas? Will foreigners who have paid NICs for decades be stripped of their pensions? I hope journalists are asking Stride and Badenoch.

I took it upon myself to read the entire transcript of that speech. Even by his standards, it's quite extraordinary. I don't think anyone in that room could have left thinking he's okay.
