A woman in her 70s from near Ruthin has represented Wales in a badminton tournament in Spain.
Sheila Palmer, 74, of Pwllglas, played for Wales in the Masters Nations Cup.
Playing in the “65 and over” age group, Sheila was one of five to represent North Wales in Wales’ 35-person squad.

Sharleen Spiteri has been awarded an honorary doctorate for her services to music.
The singer, who formed Scots rock group Texas in 1986 with her bandmates, recognised by The University of Glasgow.

Dean Mears has been found guilty of murdering grandmother Catherine Flynn in her Rhyl home last October.
Mrs Flynn was killed after Mears broke into her house before dragging her out of bed and stamping on her approximately 15 times

Welsh music icon Mike Peters MBE, the charismatic frontman of The Alarm, has died at the age of 66 following a 30-year battle with cancer.
Diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995 and later with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, Mike Peters refused to let his illness silence him.

Capital regeneration works are progressing in Denbighshire following grant funding from the UK Government.
Roughly £20million of Levelling UP funding has been provided for seven capital regeneration projects within Rhyl, Prestatyn and Denbigh.

Blind Veterans UK has closed its site in #Llandudno in a "very difficult" decision.
In February, the charity said its 'Centre of Wellbeing' at Queen's Road was at risk of closing following a "strategic review of their operations and financial sustainability".

Poundland has said it is "disappointed" that its store in #Rhyl was given a low food hygiene rating.
