We had a busy, successful and productive year!
We were active at the state house and testified on several bills. We expanded our community charity endeavors. We increased our participation in Pride Month. We held 9 monthly meetings & had 2 parties. We attended multiple rallies and protests...

Did you know? Over the past couple years, local Christian Nationalist hate groups have waged a crusade against LGBTQ children, turning Rhode Island school committees into civil rights battlegrounds. Their goal: The overturning of State protections for Trans kids.

Today is Saturnalia, one of the original "reasons for the season." Along with Yule, Saturnalia is an ancient holiday that existed before Christianity, and based on the Winter Solstice. Early Christians adapted customs from this holiday to better indoctrinate people into Christianity. Happy Holidays!

Despite some progress, Atheists are still discriminated against in this country. We are disempowered, misunderstood and the subject of unfortunate misconceptions.

The 2026 RI Legislative session starts up Tuesday 1/6. Rhode Island Atheists will be at the State house once again, making our presence known, standing up for separation of church & state and reminding our legislators that we are watching. nonbelievers in our state's Capitol.

This year Rhode Island Atheists was successful in officially establishing the RI Day of Reason in our state. In addition to receiving a citation from the Secretary of State, a congressional resolution was introduced at the State House marking this special day.
