It’s more alleviating the lack of attention, for profit. Feeding off of people who think, “I NEED more of their attention, I’ll buy them something”, and making the pipeline incredibly streamlined (a link to a glorified wish list) and “gratifying” (auto tweets out a thank you etc)

i mean, there's a time and a place for it. but like, an under 50 viewer stream just isnt it. idk its just weird to attempt to sell your attention when it isn't that valuable, to people that already probably deserve it. maybe i'm just being cynical and/or autistic about the social exchange idk.

Obviously this is different for body streamers. I think they're justified. Their job is to manipulate your feelings for money. For better or worse is irrelevant. Starving their whales for attention while providing an access point to it is their business model. I just don't think it belongs in gaming
