Luxury! I used to love getting the local paper (when these were a bigger thing) on Christmas Eve and seeing 2-3 days of TV listings all in one go. Even more exciting if a Sunday was involved, making it 3-4 days.

If over the last year, lots of banks would have given you more than that in 1-year fixed rate bonds. I have a small number of PBs too but let’s not pretend it’s about “interest”, it’s about the slim hope of a bigger win.

In its defence it’s not a bad tool for refreshing any faded knowledge which you once had - gives you some structure to restart.
