I originally designed Meta & Nilla in 2004! That means 2024 marks 20 years of these two dorks! I dunno the exact date I created either of them, but Meta was designed first, probably two or three months before Nilla was. I gotta try to draw 'em a bunch before the year ends!

an unreasonable pet peeve I have is when people call Animal Crossing for Gamecube "Population Growing" like that's it's subtitle. it's not a subtitle! it's just some text on the box! it's not on the spine or title screen! Super Smash Bros. Melee isn't subtitled "Nintendo's Best in 4-Player Action!"

I still haven't actually watched Rise of Skywalker. At this point maybe I just won't, and I can keep imagining that the somber note of small hope at the end of The Last Jedi was just like, an open-ended finale where you're invited to speculate, like FFVII or Inception

Kirby's Adventure was the first game I ever beat by myself. Marathoning it after school in my parents' bedroom (that was where the NES was) was a formative experience for me.

Man. He was only 53. What a loss. Super Broly is one of my top 10 or 15 favorite films, period. RIP
RIP to anime director Tatsuya Nagamine. One of the finest adventure anime directors of the modern era. He helped breath new life into long-running series and made them feel altogether vital again. The current One Piece boom wouldn't have been possible in the same way without him.
