I'm glad for this but seems like an anomaly for this administration, you know, the way things were going.

Does this clown know how things "ended" for Benito?

The population of Lexington is only 10,300 people. Some may commute to work in this plant from the surrounding area, but this layoff is the equivalent to 1/3 of the town's residents—out of work.

Too bad all the talent in terms of design, art, music, acting, etc, are registered dems and wouldn't deign to work for this admin.

Apparently it was more important for him to express Benito's sentiment than sticking to the R anti-public transport plank. Also, railroad-adjacent guy here: he should not picture himself walking down the tracks like this.

My exact reaction the first time I saw this.

One of my favorite all time songs…but, look up Mr Fantasy from the same film, it’s fantastic.

Wow, great performance, so close to the studio version. Old blackie has tone! Did you know he wanted this to be a film, Emmy Lou would have been played by…Emmy Lou Harris.

This dude is my hero. Look at how he delicately handles the 4x5 inch press camera, wow. On top of all the other coolness: wardrobe, shoes, the way he balances on the beam. This has made me forget the awful AI-ness happening in the world currently, thanks.

My students could do better Photoshop work. Not to mention every other level of outrage depicted here. Things just keep getting worse, Jesus wept.

Ugh: most likely not Lewis Hine, and the building under construction was not the ESB but the RCA Building, Rockefeller Center, sorry about that. I stand by my comments regardless.

The fact that those working men were replaced by those tech bros is infuriating. How many working people (though perhaps more white collar than blue) will be out on the street due these clowns?
December 13, 2025 at 1:37 AM
It's rich alright. That image *may* have been taken by the great Lewis Hine. His earlier work changed the United States by highlighting children working in terrible, dangerous conditions—laws were then passed to protect them. But back to his Empire State picture...

I always shake people's hands with the back of my hand. Always, it's how I do it.

Were they responsible for Nader or am I mistaken?

Ex-pat Hoosier here. I’ve not had much reason to be happy about the goings on in my former state for quite awhile (the residents did vote in Obama in 2008). This turn of events is a very pleasant surprise.

Yes, I’ve used that phrase, it’ll be a fycking tsunami. I for one can’t wait.
