If you understand the partner then you’ll know the UK was a tier 1 partner in the F35 programme since its inception. Back then there were no problems with US/UK military collaboration.

How has Germany been consistently sabotaging France?
February 1, 2026 at 5:23 PM
For info, France insists on an 80% French build and won’t share tech with Germany. Any partner would be pissed off with that approach

Dirty games to scupper GCAP?
It’s not coincidence the article came out just after Tokyo.
Perhaps France is moving to discredit GCAP? Macron doesn’t like the EU buying British kit (Storm Shadow excluded from the EU €90 Billion) and Germany might yet leave the French controlled FCAS programme.

Treasured piece, to the point, like Eddie Mair or Jim Naughtie!
I always wonder how Trump educates himself about a subject, how much fringe reading he actually does?

Interesting. Much blue bashing here.
The benefit of course is to divert attention from Labour’s Burnham - Starmer rift.
Remember Labour being split down the middle when it came to Brexit, the very same issue which brought Reform/Independance party into being?
So Labour is linked too right?

We might laugh but this is being manipulated to get Starmer off the hook:

Why is it different? You believe everything you see in Politico?
Brickies working in Germany in the 70s. Polish workers building boats in the UK and working in UK construction today.
People gripe about immigration all the time but it’s a two way street.

Manufacturing of those went from Germany to Poland, as growing turnips goes from Poland to Ukraine

No different to washing machines made in Poland I guess?

Flawed? Europe is intact (sort of) so not giving in worked.
Yes. Yes it is but there’re fascists everywhere. Yes. Yes. Yes.
LOVE Hobbits, never forget them pheasant pluckers ;)

US sanctions drove India towards Germany. They work but have repercussions.

The US has, for the best part of 70-80 years countered the Soviet mind and its ambition and without the US and UK Berlin Airlift in 1948 Europe would not be what is today. That single event shaped much. I am grateful

Canada yes, Aussies not sure. Heavily invested in AUKUS and within China’s reach

FYI..

Indeed

I heard differently: The Migs didn’t even know the Italian F35s were there, underneath them. It hasn’t happened since, make what you want of that.

I said it was ‘Clinical’ and was laughed out of the shop!

If Pokrovsk and Myrohnad fall but Terrain mapping for Flamingo arrives just after what are the likely effects?
December 4, 2025 at 10:19 PM
A dozen ground hugging flamingoes would change the narrative, let’s hope terrain mapping gets done soon

Why is the US helping Russia and kneecapping Ukraine which is now a natural US/European Ally? Weaken Europe? I don’t believe the peeling away from China thing?

Something was up, I think you’ve grasped it.
If others in the Trump administration joined the same dots (the timeline with Graham’s bill, Putin’s leak to Axios) why do they endure it?
