Don't you think it's nonsensical to be berating anyone in or around that squad given the circumstances?
Playing well is tied to mentality and when your world has been rocked by grief then you're not going to be able to compete at the same level in the PL... this is the basis of my point

Or they're a team of elite sportsmen suffering from the effects of grief and shock and all these selfish fans expecting glory every year just need to button up, deactivate their social media and sit out this season.

I know, far from optimistic here either but we have to manage our fuming or we'll always just be pissed at everything. Lessons only recently learned from a generation of Hillsborough pain but totally agree that Grenfell needs accountability.

Don't fume at the past,hope for the future.Hillsborough legislation,forward movement to make sure these horrific mistakes aren't repeated.Don't take anything for granted but don't allow the lessons that need2b learned from these man-made disasters to be clouded by an unachievable thirst for revenge🙏

They protecting him as they said they would. The pressure they're all under now isn't a good platform to chuck him in to see what happens. Definitely not something he is or isn't doing.

Yes yes and yes! Supporting ain't always fun but that's the nature of being a supporter. Too many people these days used to success all of the time. Tiring... Nice to have cleansed my time line a little and followed some new people who aren't hitting the panic button and chucking all their toys out

I can't think of a single instance where it was ever helping. Not once was there a surge of positivity in their play on 20 minutes.

Yes. It's not disrespectful to stop singing it, nobody is going to think less of Jota nor forget him. Players won't forget, he's immortalised everywhere they look - they just need those 90 minutes where they're able to try to switch off and focus on the task at hand.

Doesn't take a huge leap of imagination to realise that at the moment mid game when they're in that mindset & try to focus that it might be unhelpful to be surrounded by 60,000 people singing his name.they're not about to forget him, they won't forget him, we won't either. Sadly just human nature

I've not missed any point. The reminders are everywhere - if you've lost anyone close to you then you'll know how painful it is to be reminded of that. If you're then tasked with performing professional sports which at that level is largely related to mindset and mental strength then it... (1of2)

spent all their pre game prep trying to get into the correct mindset for a game where they can concentrate enough to try to perform at 100%. Every moment they're in dressing room, training ground etc they're reminded - game is time for them to be able to try to get on with things & move on (2of2)

100%agree with everything but I think the song on 20 mins should stop.Not because we're losing games but because they're working their way through their grief and emotions in their own way & I don't think it's necessarily helpful they get the reminder every single time we play when they've...
