Off hand, I don't know a whole lot of multi-millionaires with paperboy as their only private sector work experience. So there is that.

Pierre Poilievre couldn't have said it better himself. No, seriously.

Unless of course it's Lake Okanagan - and we all know how that worked out.

Those are good questions.

IMHO After a few years firebreaks are dry wind corridors with abundant green up along the edges and flashy fine fuels that are both available to fire more days of the year and allow fire to progress at more rapid rates of spread during the initial burn period.

That's about as anti-woke as you can get.

Step 2 - create a fantastic narrative involving renewables, emissions caps and interties that pull power out of the sky and sell Carney as a 3d chess player.

Shouldn't be hard, there's plenty of people that want to believe.

So where does all this excess power come from?

Since 2022, BC has been a net importer of power for domestic consumption. 2024-25, BC imported 25% of consumption.

Canada Strong by making it more reliant on US commodities like electricity and refined petroleum products?

Seems sus to me.

These words seem important... " to strengthen the ability of the western power markets to supply low carbon power to oil, LNG, critical minerals, agricultural, data centres and CCUS industries in support of their sustainability goals".

He's good at riding coattails, probably untouchable in his current position, but he should be tendering a resignation letter.

Spoken like a true Carney crony. If our Prime Minister could manage anything other than making CEO's smile, he'd be asking for a resignation.

Canada's MOU with Alberta will ensure we import more refined petroleum products from the USA, but you know that.
November 28, 2025 at 7:14 AM
Ultimately, this MOU commits us to a vision of increasing our refined petroleum products imports from the USA under the banner of "Building Canada" and "making Canada a global energy superpower".

Great for shareholders. The environment, our global standing and sovereignty - not so much.
November 28, 2025 at 6:57 AM
Fun fact: Canada is a net importer of refined petroleum products and our biggest supplier is the USA. Exporting more bitumen isn't going to change that fact.

Elbows up, while being bent over is an awkward position to find oneself in, isn't it?

The Building Canada Act commits... lol, until it doesn't, and that's fine with the elbows up crowd.

Before today Smith existed as the Premier of the Province of Alberta. She represented approximately 12.5% of Canada. As of today she is an equal partner with Canada in pushing her pipeline through British Columbia.

Give some credit where credit is due. PP did manage to get a conservative Prime Minister elected.

So at best Mark Carney is disingenuous. That's what we're going with? Cool. 🤡🥳
