STARTER PACK: I covered many WBB Final Fours for Sports Illustrated which got me into women's basketball.

I remain an avid watcher of the product.

If interested: I put together a list of Women's Basketball Media on Bluesky (68 people and counting) and I'll keep adding.

I have never enjoyed an MLB team more than this year’s Toronto Blue Jays team. At a time where domestic and world news hammers you down daily, they have provided me and my family with endless optimism and spirit. It doesn’t matter in the big picture but then again, it’s also everything.

It's so baked into into sports and the sports media economy at this point that I think you are looking at decades (and polling at 30-70 against) before anyone made a real attempt at rolling it back.

40% of U.S. adults say legal sports betting is bad for sports.
Chart showing 43% of U.S. adults say the fact that sports betting is now legal in much of the country is a bad thing for society. That’s up from 34% in 2022. And 40% of adults now say it’s a bad thing for sports, up from 33%.

Despite these increasingly critical views of legal sports betting, many Americans continue to say it has neither a bad nor good impact on society and on sports. Fewer than one-in-five see positive impacts.
