Economist. Academic, then consultant, then UK government, then EU regulator, now consultant again. Environment, health, crime. Mostly chemicals these days.

Woke. Remain. Proportional representation.
I reckon Mr Beast might sign up.

It was in 2017 that I first became convinced Brexit was won as part of a Russian strategy to totally destabilise Europe and everything that has happened since has reinforced that.

Put him on the front cover of Time magazine and see how Trump reacts.

I still think it's worth pointing out that, not only are they all Tories, it's all the worst Tories, exactly like Gullis. (Most people, I think, do recognise him because of his baying voice photos in the HoC.)

It's also so competitive that it's actually pretty difficult to succeed if you're not up to it. The market will find you out eventually.

The Beckhams are a good example. Have to hand it to Victoria Beckham for her fashion line. The kids, on the other hand, drift from one thing to another.

In December, I stick mine up my arse.

Do you meant 10% or 10 percentage points?

Because if the former, you're effectively asking people to be 'correct' (10% above the truth is only, say, 15% compared with 13%).

Nothing so ambiguous as chance.

Could you just upload her to the cloud for a while?

If touts can't earn the spread, artists and promoters will just raise face values, then why can't artists and promoters just do that now?

"If touts can't earn the spread, artists and promoters will just raise face values" is logically bollocks. Why can't artists and promoters do that now?

So we need to discuss fixtures and fittings.

As for macro commentators, Paul Krugman and Justin Wolfers are obvious but US-focused. We are short in the UK. Simon Wren-Lewis is probably your man.

OK, I owe a response. Tbh, I asked for 'credible MMT commentators', and mostly all I got were proponents of MMT, which is hardly the same.

Regarding alternatives, it depends what you want. I like to read the weekly/monthly research summaries from the Centre for Economic Performance.

It, it... doesn't mean anything... That makes it worse...

Ultimately, that is the point. America for Americans. Just like Gilead.
December 10, 2025 at 9:06 AM
And what is the point of that unless it's to advertise some paying blog or something? Might as well do that now.

I go back occasionally to check on football news and post offensive tweets about Trump, but couldn't imagine doing it full time under any circumstances. It's too full of cunts.

"All [PFAS] have been linked to harms including endocrine (hormone system) disruption, cancers, birth defects, intellectual impairment and obesity."

This is just not true. Some have, and they've mostly been banned. There are efforts by some to ban the rest, despite evidence they are not harmful.
