Meanwhile… polling in the Times discovers - brace yourself, Robert “I’ve put my personal ambition to one side” Jenrick - that the majority of voters think Jenrick defected to Reform for personal ambition. Oh you stupid, arrogant man. How dare you think we won’t see right through you.

No one really thought that Jenrick leaving would detoxify the Tory party. It adds more toxicity to Reform who are now repulsively poisonous. But the Tory party is just sloshing around in the same binjuice, promising the same foul policies and refusing to face up to the horrorshow they’ve become.
