It reminded me of the old idiom "Never play chess with a pigeon. The pigeon just knocks all the pieces over. Then shits all over the board. Then struts around like it won."

This is too funny. They were all insufferable and unknowledgable, but the worst was the religious guy who just kept cutting Sam off and not allowing him to finish a sentence. Then he would act like he was owning the debate. It was like none of them knew what they were doing there.

That doesn't mean the people take his absurd decisions lying down. Organize, protest, write to your representatives, talk to your neighbors or anyone who will listen about community issues. I'm even having conversations with my kid's teachers and my dentist - this impacts all of us.

Even if people would cut back on their portion sizes of meat and the number of servings they have per week, it would be a massive improvement.

High speed rail connecting cities, good public transit and bike infrastructure in communities, public housing, universal Healthcare, nationalized food systems, universal basic income, free public education, climate justice and green energy infrastructure. That's just the start.
