Here's a fun project I'm recreating. I'm going to run through each #DoctorWho story and provide you with an alternative title, with just one letter added, removed or changed, and write a little story to go with it.
Sounds more complicated than it is. Let's start with Season 1 of the original series.

Also the conversational style is surprisingly effective.

As a technologist in my day job, it's fascinating how much ChatGPT knows about Paul and gives a very vaguely plausible account.

Here's the opening of Something Who podcast Ep119. Not a sketch this time, but an impromptu interview that @themindrobber.bsky.social conducted with ChatGPT's version of Paul, when he was late joining the recording session. Equal parts hilarious & disturbing.

I hadn't watched Brain of Morbius for almost 50 years, since broadcast of course - even for me that must be a record.

Is it a "stone cold classic"? We have a lot of fun finding out.

Sorry it's taken a while since the last episode. We recorded this in mid August, it's just taken me ages to edit it.

Perhaps sadly, I've posted plenty more like that!

A haiku for today:

Supermarket has no thyme

Four months ago! But since we're not exactly running to a regular schedule it's easy enough to miss them when they come out.

Well, who'd have thought it? Feels like ages since we've been this high in the Apple Podcasts UK TV Reviews chart.

Here's @themindrobber.bsky.social talking in Something Who podcast Ep117 about the atmosphere in #DoctorWho Terror of the Zygons, the mixture of creepy and humour, neither of which undermines the other. Plenty more discussion of this sort in the episode: somethingwho.podbean.com/e/episode-11...

Also Tom is really running and jumping on location. Makes for some really great shots but you wonder if they learnt nothing from his accident on Dartmoor during Sontaran Experiment.

Scared me at the time, was still unnerving last night. The brilliant thing is it's played absolutely straight. You have no doubt that Sarah is in real danger and no quarter is given for it being family entertainment.

1975 is the first year of Doctor Who I clearly remember seeing every story. By chance I was watching Terror of the Zygons yesterday for an upcoming @somethingwho.bsky.social. It's fantastic. Sure it has limitations, but the writing, acting & direction are top notch.

It’s the Team-Up we didn’t know we wanted… the Fugitive Doctor and the #13thDoctor were fantastic together, even if the buried Police Box #TARDIS is a bit of head scratcher. Only on #DoctorWho (Fugitive of the Judoon) in #LEGO
