Maybe - and just go with me on this - they could use some of the vast pile of money they make from their 30 percent cut to keep the costs down.

Oh yes, it's been a literal building site for three years now. Each week I get to play the 'how do I get over/under/around the railway today?' With the bridge out this week, they literally had you walking across the tracks on a little bridge at platform level:

Saw an advert for your book as I walked through Oxford station the other day. Having just walked directly across the closed tracks and stared at the gap where the bridge used to be it was only the second-most surreal thing in that moment.

Oh sweet jesus. I don't know what I expected but it was infinitely worse and I just clicked through a few seconds. I couldn't cope with the entire thing.

Thanks for that, it's very interesting. Mint is still working out okay for me as I don't do dev work on my personal machine (yet) but it's useful to have this sort of information. I'd love to play about with other distros one of these days.
