Don't make us wait! Start now! I'm eager to hear!

And my children and I chat so much more when walking. It's a no brainer for me and wish I could make those who drive when they could more easily walk see the improvement it would make to their lives

Yes! Taking a car on the school run is SO much more stressful than walking if you have the choice. The few times I use the car it's always more stressful - strapping children in/out, finding parking and then *still* walking at the end to the school gates. Walking is always easier I find.

Seen from trains entering Shrewsbury station there's a house flying a Union and St. George's flag next to a homemade sign saying "Welcome". I'm not sure what message is being given.

Lots of new ones along Sundorne Road and Pulley Lane up to Bayston Hill. Really intimidating. I don't like it all.

It is very satisfying to cycle into town straight past all the stationary queueing cars though!

Yes! I feel the driving standards are especially bad this year too over here in Shropshire

Definitely true for books in my experience!

What were they trying to get round by going on the pavement, or was it they were behind a vehicle turning right and were too impatient? Driving standards are awful atm. Always fun to go past queuing cars on 2 wheels esp. when they've overtaken you 60s earlier only they're now stuck in traffic.

Genuine question: is that a good or bad big deal for Labour?
December 17, 2025 at 10:33 AM
Yep, exactly this!
December 3, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Yep, we have 2 adults, 3 children in an Audi A3 with luggage in the boot. Never had to carry a length of pipe tho, so maybe that's the big difference!
December 3, 2025 at 2:55 PM
An average SUV is just 90mm longer than an average estate. Negligible difference. The SUV option, these days, is always going to be about perceived status and supposed safety rather than actual practicalities.

That there is raw horsepower!
November 26, 2025 at 5:38 PM
That would annoy me completely. Generally the drives are big on those houses too.
