Elon Musk is ugly in every way anyone can be ugly. Maybe that's why he is as he is. But that's no excuse.

As someone a month older than Trump - I don't think he has serious dementia. He's just a narcissistic ignorant self-centred feelingless fool.

If you can say 'any money' you can say 'anemone'

The vileness of this man is almost beyond belief and those who support him deserve nothing but derision.

How do you resign from being something that you weren't?
December 8, 2025 at 10:42 PM
If I had to answer the question 'which, if any, person in the world could be reasonably described as 'garbage'?' it would be Donald Trump. It's hard to find any redeeming features. He is as close to worthless as it's possible to be.

You utterly stupid man! If you slash a price by 100% the price becomes zero. Any more, and you're paying the customer to take it away. What an absolute imbecile.
December 2, 2025 at 5:25 PM
It's also very difficult to explain to people why '33% extra free' is actually only a 25% price reduction (approx!!)

Absolutely true - but the problem is that to non-mathematical minds it's difficult to explain. So unscrupulous people throw figures around deliberately to confuse and mislead, often very successfully.

Exactly! A percentage is a fraction. Percentages over 100 are fractions greater than 1. If you reduce a price by 100% you are giving away free. Any further reduction (i.e. over 100%) means you pay the customer to take the purchase away! Trump doesn't understand that.

I'm just surprised that it's taken the odious Gullis so long. I'd assumed he'd have done it long ago. The thought of him ever having been a teacher makes me shudder.

Trump bombs boats and murders their crew because he suspects them of carrying drugs, but pardons a president who appears to be mixed up in the drug trade. Have I got that right?

Can't stand Badenoch - but I do think it's possible to be an atheist and still know what Christianity teaches. And, indeed, to agree with a lot of it in terms of behaviour towards fellow humans.

Clueless in Clacton surely?

Though I think that reading music for 'a cappella' singing is in many ways a different skill. But in both cases, learn to read rhythms first. In 'a cappella' it's no use knowing what the next note is if you don't know when to sing it!

That's always a conductor's nightmare - a) the assumption that sopranos always have 'the melody' and b) people who aren't sopranos say they are because they assume wrongly!!
