It was. Old Twitter could be great from time to time. I guess these things are like the tides, they ebb and flow. Maybe the holidays/best books season will spark some good conversations?

Agreed! 6 months ago BlueSky seemed less doom & gloom and I was seeing more bookish chit chat. Now, even some of the bookish feeds have dwindled. Following more authors like mad right now!

Book bags as in canvas totes: too many! (But, I use them for groceries!) In terms of what I carry my books in, usually just in my computer bag. “One bag to carry them all!”

I work with booksellers & collectors, so a (sometimes unhealthy) level of collecting behavior has been manifesting itself in recent WIPs. Gave one character a record-collecting hobby, which is different enough that I enjoy the research, but I known the personality type inside out!
