Good way to tell your highly paid footballers they are just commodities!

Apart from being abhorrent views, expressing them is not very smart either, given United's reliance on international appeal.

How would anyone notice?

It is impressive how Rochdale, like some medieval prince, are disposing of the pretenders one by one. We all (Scunny fan here) should just admit it’s over and get on with the play offs!

Well...if we're doing this, let's have a look at ALL Epstein's chums and financial involvements in the UK, and see what that turns up.

M&S jumbo fish finger sandwiches are already a tasty treat in our house.

MP says it's 'existential', so it must be! But what's this 'small earthquake in Westminster' fuss doing to expose Epstein's networks of guilty and gullible and get justice for their victims? Maybe UK media can put some energy into the real scandal here, since it's clearly not just a US problem.

In unspecified but likely not performance related ways…

Let's not stop with 'political', how about all persons of power and influence in the UK?
February 3, 2026 at 11:09 AM
Yes, but sometimes it doesn't do to view everything through a British party political filter. There are real victims here, and 'guiltier' Epstein friends and acquaintances than Mandleson. If it's an enquiry we need it's into Epstein and his financial and personal influence on all things UK.

Erm... it's the wrong sort of clock.

Let's not use 'Mandelson Scandal' when we mean 'Epstein Scandal'. This wholly unwholesome ambassador business is just a sideline to a much wider scandal that - other parties would do well to remember - has tentacles that reach far and wide.

4th of July is Independence Day. The day we got rid of that irritating upstart colony. Whatever happened to them?

They don't seem to know very much about writers.

Boycotting American Football this year. It seems to me to be too close to a celebration of American excess. And American excess is getting the whole planet into a lot of trouble.

Be interesting to see if tactical voting plays a part. Maybe with just one seat in play people will feel free to vote their current convictions.

'Now' not 'not'?

Ron, lack of basic human decency is their only qualification for the job!

There is some sort of evolutionary step to be made here... between societal reason and self-serving, but ultimately destructive emotion. Not sure how it happens though!
