Yes, so much space in their music - The Blue Nile evokes similar, as you will be well aware 😊

Desperately trying to deflect from all the $hit he is in. He's going to take us all into war, which will then let him say no elections due to war. Absolute $hithouse

Caught that on the way home and into Bernard Cribbins reading from The Wind in the Willows. Blissful. Love 4X.

An outstanding presenter. Loved his Saturday morning R1 shows and looked forward to hearing the latest from the likes of Raymond Sinclair and the old guy with his dog, Gripper. It was like disappearing into another dimension for a few hours.

Quite keen on Ticket to Ride - did try the online version but the instructions are a little bamboozling!

There's new folk in the one near me and they're really enforcing all the policies, I think they really fear the boot if they're caught allowing it and have the digital camera behind the bar. Really draconian stuff.

Aye, we've all been there.

Yeah, the Border City seemed relatively calm this afternoon. Mind, I finished work at half 2 this morning and there' was a good number of young 'uns staggering about outside the station looking for taxis....

Love Rivington's stuff. Had a lot of their pales, IPAs and sours this year - all hugely impressive.

What a fantastic read that was. A band I absolutely loved and still do.

That's definitely a sad and odd situation to be in. I have 3 step-siblings I've yet to meet, all probably around my age too, but Dad and Stepmum had a very, very low-key wedding a couple of years back and they live in Edinburgh, been together a good 10 years too.

Agreed, very much so

Not sure, but there's every possibility and that name does ring a very vague & distant bell..

Yeah, a great writer and huge fan of The Sundays! I have 2 12" singles by his band, Catwalk, which I really must dig out and play soon.

Seconded. I was an MM completist from the mid 80s till its sudden and downbeat end. Always preferred their writers - particularly Chris Roberts, Ian Watson and Everett True.

That's quite the story - having your own song is really something!

Difficult to pick just one, I've always loved 'Walter' though and 'Defy the Law'

Well, that's gone straight onto the Bandcamp wishlist
