1/ The degradation of our public ceremonies was on full display last night. We’ve gone from civil decorum to Rep.Wilson calling Obama a liar to a full-on wrestling match atmosphere in a few years. Rather than upholding decorum Dems have degenerated along with Trumpers, waving signs and shouting.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Pundits keep repeating the media mantra that Democrats can’t devise a persuasive message. i have a simple idea; the message, repeated by all Dems every day, should be “ how is this helping you?”

1/ Anyone with the remotest understanding of 20th century history should realize that these Trump actions are prelude to war. Trump, like Putin, believes that, as a nuclear power, in the final analysis we can get away with anything by threatening nuclear retaliation to resisters.

1/ I’m swiftly losing patience with pundit fantasies. The political class won’t save us. Dems have shown repeatedly that they are too weak and supine to raise real resistance. Only we can prevent fascist liars and oligarchs. We can stop the fascist tide, but we need to take risks w our livelihoods..

We now have two lame ducks in the Executive Mansion, and both of them were cucked by the same man: Musk. He’s shown Trump that even the clown prince can be out-demagogued, and he’s easily outpaced Vance as the MAGA princeling-in-waiting. If you dread the chaos of the Donald, behold the coming storm.

I’m dismayed, but not surprised, at the ‘fresh start’ blather on the Syrian revolution coming from, for example, Tom Friedman and Bret Stephens at the NYTimes. Islamic zealots kicking the stilts out in a dangerous region of a disordered world doesn’t seem like a grand opportunity of renewal to me.

i observe what seems like virtue signaling in the Brian Thomson murder. “Murder is bad!” say the righteous. Duh. Can we apply some nuance? Few advocate assassination as a regular negotiating tactic, but when the capture of regulatory power by the oligarch class prevents reform, what remedy?

Not to celebrate assassnation, but evidence clearly indicates that United HealthCare under Brian Thompson has a deliberate strategy to delay and deny medically necessary and Medicare authorized claims in order to boost profitability. Perfect example of regulatory capture;
