Progressives can win local elections in some areas but not nationwide-there’s a real debate on what citizens want the government’s role to be beyond providing an environment where citizens can pursue life/liberty/happiness per Constitution-safety nets aren’t in the Constitution

Every cohort is important in building an anti DJT coalition but the far left needs to accept getting some of what they want (and more importantly reestablishing basic constitutional rights)-but their eagerness to proclaim “mandate” when a Dem wins is chasing centrists away and that’s why DJT won

Yep paying government employees and military + keeping airports open was stupid bc Republicans didn’t actually want a shutdown & were ready to buckle 🤣
Fact is healthcare won’t be fixed until this admin is out of office-we should be focused on cost reduction not just who pays for it

You can argue that you want the top 10% to pay more but from IRS data they already pay over 70% of income taxes while 50% already pay nothing-arguments should be made to the high income citizens on why they should give more of their earnings to the government to redistribute to others

None of that is made up-look at voting history/demographics since the 70’s-Blacks make up 12% of voters, Hispanics about the same and Asians roughly 4% with Whites consistently making up 72-74%-not a population statement-neither party wins w/o broad white support-Whites comprised 80% of Obama voters

Progressives should feel left out because they are a small percentage of Democrat voters-Progressives should accept a centrist approach of strengthening social safety nets while reducing the national debt-they are frequently all or nothing and many centrists won’t vote for that-compromise is needed

more accurate math is who is paying what % of the states’ tax revenue-2024 data shows the top 1% pay 32% of state taxes. They get little benefit from what they pay but is it “fair” they should pay more? Maybe 100% of all state taxes?

Well that’s because he wants the top 1% who already pay 40% of all US income taxes collected to pay even more in NYC and NY State taxes- not clear if that’s “good for Americans”.

Blacks make up 12% of voters and ~20% of them vote GOP. The Progressive agenda/how it gets paid for scare off more swing voters than electing an authoritarian criminal focused on voter suppression to stay in power. When Dems win nationally they ignore who voted & declare “Progressive Mandate”

Because the Progressives in charge don’t want you to know that swing voters would rather have an autocrat who doesn’t honor the constitution and is actively trying to suppress votes in charge than support the policies they’re committed to-rather than change their policies

Unlike basketball where a few 6 footers can get hot hitting 3’s it’s physically impossible for most schools to compete with the top 4 programs every year-there’s no Cinderella stories in football there just aren’t enough big/fast bodies around to fill out more than a handful of rosters

Maybe quietly stacking little wins, getting incremental progress is a more productive tactic if the goal is to unify the population rather than taunts/ridicule which we’ve proven in the last decade simply increases resentment pushing unification out further in the future

Or 2024-bullpen lack of holds and blown saves was the primary reason for missing the playoffs in 2024 but narratives like the bullpen is a strength and the starting rotation is the best in baseball defy facts/data

Absolutely right that’s a war crime-my only point was the Israeli government takes actions independently regardless of what the US administration wants-those who decided to drop bombs of any type on civilians will eventually be held to account

Shocking-team with $750M in rev/yr to fund operations (with 21M in profit to spare) beats team with $387M in revenue that national cable company runs as Canada’s team losing $60M/yr…baseball is fantastic, MLB is broken

He’s fantastic, such a great reply-however this is what this administration wants-they will keep the shutdown in place until after election results are in and will decide what to do after they find out if they still maintain their majority positions-if GOP loses their majority 🤷🏻

They refer to themselves as “the base” when they’re about 15% of the voters-maybe 1/3 of the people who voted Democrat in the last election-probably a reason Independents were afraid to vote Harris because the left would immediately say “mandate”

Human rights means they should be applied to every human in the world (8B+)-supposedly paid for by the same 10 Billionaires (cumulative wealth ~1.5 Trillion) so that’s only ~$200/person…how about a real plan vs everyone gets a unicorn and money tree

You should tell your financial advisor to quit investing in their companies-their wealth is correlated 100% to the stock market so every investor also saw their wealth increase by the same %
